At SonaRack, your MP3 files, tags, and cover artwork are processed locally in your browser. They are not sent to us or stored on a server.
What this tool does not collect
No account is required. There is no advertising SDK or online metadata lookup. Optional usage analytics is described below. The editor does not use cloud storage or a business backend.
Memory-only session
Files and unsaved edits remain in memory in the current tab. Refreshing or closing the tab clears that working session. The tool does not place file contents, tag values, artwork, or file names in localStorage, IndexedDB, cookies, or service-worker caches.
Practical limits
A session accepts up to 20 files, up to 100 MiB per MP3, and up to 500 MiB for the batch. Cover artwork is limited to a valid JPEG or PNG up to 10 MiB. These limits reduce browser memory pressure.
Network behavior
Audio editing and file generation happen locally. Site assets are served with the static build; the editor does not request remote fonts or music databases. While analytics is on, your browser also contacts Google to load its tag and send usage events. Google receives network information such as your IP address when those requests are made.
Optional Google Analytics
Google Analytics 4 is on by default when you visit our production website, without an initial prompt. You can turn it off below and keep using every tool. We measure approved page paths, successful imports, export attempts, download readiness, ZIP cancellations, and fixed error categories. Download readiness does not confirm that a file was saved to disk.
We do not send audio, filenames, tag values, artwork, free-text errors, or URL query strings and fragments in our analytics events. Page titles are fixed; external referral URLs are reduced to the referring site. Google also measures session, browser, and device information. Advertising signals and advertising personalization are disabled.
If you change your preference, it is saved in localStorage as sonarack.analytics-consent. While analytics is on, Google uses first-party analytics cookies configured to expire after 28 days without sliding renewal. Turning analytics off stops collection and removes this site’s Google Analytics cookies; it does not erase data already received by Google. Do Not Track also disables analytics.
Analytics is off in this environment or browser.

Email feedback
Contact hello@sonarack.com for feedback or privacy questions. The email link opens your mail app; nothing is sent automatically. If you send an email, your email provider, our forwarding provider, and our Gmail inbox process your address and message. Include only the information you want to share; please do not send audio files, private tags, or passwords.
Your responsibility
Choose only files you have the right to edit, review downloaded results in the players you use, and keep your originals. MP3 tag support varies across software and devices.
